We are pleased to announce that after much trial and many modifications we have made range of Quiescence Therapeutics skin balms, healing oils and facial clays. They have been designed to both enhance your treatment and to add a little herbal magic to your day. Made on site in small batches the natural colours and smells derived from our medicinal herbs and are likely to differ a little from batch to batch. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Red Phoenix Trauma Oil
Based on an ancient formula from the Shaolin fighting monks, this oil is for acute injuries. The herbs are specifically chosen to reduce swelling, ease pain and to strengthen bones and tendons. Affective in healing sprains, breaks and soft tissue injuries. Particularly useful to soften scar tissue post caesarean section or post surgery.
Notable the herbs in this formula include Notoginseng which is traditionally used for traumatic injuries, it has the ability to clear blood debris and generate new blood reducing pain.
How to apply: rub gently into effected ares, 2 -3 times a day depending on severity of the injury.
Dragonsblood & Sandalwood Balm
This balm is for chronic injuries, muscle tension, joint pain and rheumatoid arthritis. We combine dragonsblood, a resin produced from Sanguis Draconis (a vine grown in Cambodia) with herbs such as sandalwood, frankincense and myrrh to create a warming balm that penetrates deep into the muscles.
How to Apply: rub into effected ares 2 -3 times a day, then apply a heat pack or have a hot shower to allow the herbs to penetrate into the muscles.
Eucalyptus Chest Rub
For chesty coughs and stuffy noses. Here we combines eucalyptus with fragrant herbs including patchouli, mint and magnolia to create our version of Vicks. This is a great one for kids and babies as well as adults.
How to Apply: rub into upper chest and back. Can also be use in a steam inhalation by adding half a teaspoon to hot water.
This cream is designed specifically for dry, flakey skin and works well for conditions such as psoriasis where there is a combindatin of heat and dryness.
Calendula works as an anti inflammatory, has antibacterial properties and can stimulate the production of collagen. We combine calendula with other cooling and nourishing herbs such red salvia root and angelica. These herbs nourish the skin and penetrate deeply into the layers, addressing the root of the issue.
How to Apply: apply to effected areas or use has a hand-care cream.
This salve is for angry red skin and eczema. Herbs including viola, indigo and scutellariae are combined to help to clear heat from the skin level and and cool the blood while the oils are known to help specifically with eczema and irritated skin. Good for dermatitis, gardeners hand, childhood eczema and those random red rashes!
How to Apply: apply to effected areas 2-3 times a day or as needed.
Calendula & Chamomile Bath Oil
Calendula and Chamomile are soaked in Apricot Kernel Oil for several weeks. These herbs are know for their soothing qualities, both in the body and the mind. They have well know anti-bacterical and anti-inflammatory properties making this oil perfect for sore, itchy skin conditions like childhood eczema and nappy rash.
A few droppers full added at the end of the bath evenly coats the babies skin to counter the drying effects of water to gently sooth the skin.
How to Apply: add a few droppers full into a bath, can also be used as a body rub or massage oil.
Aloe Vera and Angelica Clay Mask
Australian fine pink clay combined with nourishing herbs inluding Aloe vera and angelica work to reintegrate skin tissue and improve elasticity. Can be used for all skin types but particularly good for sensitive skin, fine lines and wrinkles
How to Apply: Mix with a good quality pressed oil such as coconut or grape seed, apply to face for 2-3 mins, gently rinse of before clay fully hardens.
Motherwort and Salvia Clay Mask
Zeolight Clay absorbs toxins from the skin deep within the skin. Combined with motherwort, salvia and heydyotis to cleanse and soothe inflammation. Ideal for oily and acne prone skin.
How to Apply: Can be used as a clay mask or scrub. Mix clay with water to make a paste, apply to face. Scrub gently for an exfoliant or leave for 2-3mins and rinse off before clay fully hardens. Can also be useds as a spot treatment for acne.
100% natural combination coconut oil beeswax and shea-butter with either rose oil or peppermint to deeply nourish dry lips.
