Annalise Drok (Chinese Medicine) has been awarded a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Chinese Medicine and a Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Sciences in Human Nutrition.
She is the director of Quiescence Chinese Medicine.
After completing a BCAppS majoring in Nutrition Annalise took some time to travel. On her travels she discovered the possibility of studying Chinese Medicine as a career. “Its funny,” she says, “ My Dad used acupuncture as part of his physiotherapy treatments. He was always talking about qi and yin and yang and practised Taiqi, but it was the herbs that finally drew me to Chinese Medicine.”
Annalise went on to study Chinese Medicine at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. This involved a further five years study, with the final year being conducted at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Here she undertook clinical training at the First Affiliated Hospital in the gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, dermatology, acupuncture and tuina departments.
Annalise has focused on developing her knowledge and understanding of women’s health and fertility since her graduation in 2003. She is experienced in supporting male and female reproductive health for both natural conception and for those undergoing IVF and other assisted reproductive treatments. While she believes in a holistic, natural approach to health Annalise also believes in the importance of integrated medicine. She happily works alongside other health and medically trained professionals, especially in relation to fertility enhancement.
