Reformation

After completing her TCM degree, through observations with various practitioners, Rebecca began to understand that her holistic, nurturing approach yielded towards the gentler styles of Japanese Acupuncture. For Rebecca this meant diversifying beyond her Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine to obtain a post-graduate certificate in Toyohari East Asian Needle Therapy under the Australasian branch of the Toyohari Association, a post-graduate certificate in Dr Manaka’s Japanese Acupuncture Protocols, and a certified course in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture.

Holistic/Universal/Multifocal

Rebecca’s treatment style isn’t limited to any health issue or age. She is passionate about treating diverse and complex health issues and relishes in seeing improvement in areas such as chronic illness, female health, children, teens and maintaining overall health through preventative treatments. Her training in Toyohari and Manaka give her deep insight into the balance of qi in the body. Her treatments aim to create a healing harmony within the body by balancing Qi, Blood, Yin, Yang and the Five Phases. Her compassionate, patient approach helps to build a trusting connection with the client, which assists communication, treatment and ultimately health outcomes.

What to expect

Rebecca often combines acupuncture or non-insertive meridian therapy with supportive techniques such as moxibustion and cupping in her treatments. She offers Japanese Acupuncture (Toyohari) treatments and Non-Insertive treatments for Kids and Teens (Shonishin). Rebecca is broadly experienced in Cosmetic Acupuncture. These treatments are flexible and can involve facial products, qua sha, cupping, and facial and body needles. Rebecca’s skilled and sensitive approach to needling means treatments are relaxing and restorative.

Looking forward

Working as the Membership Officer and as the Australiasian Branch of the Toyahari Association (ABTA) Liaison, Rebecca invests deeply in broadening her professional practice by participating in frequent conferences, workshops and mentoring to consistently meet the needs of her clients.

Rebecca is registered with the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria and the Australian Natural Therapies Association. She is covered by all major health funds and her patients are eligible for private insurance rebates on consultations.
