Nicola Menegazzo

Nicola (she/her) is a gentle practitioner who primarily practices Japanese Acupuncture. Japanese Acupuncture uses fine needles and/or non-insertive needles.

Nicola has studied with Tsuyoshi Shimamura (who was mentored by the famous Japanese Acupuncturist, Master Nagano), after initially exploring Japanese Meridian Therapy and Dr Manaka’s Protocols under Paul Movsessian.

Nicola’s Areas of Interest

Nicola has had experience treating a wide range of conditions, from musculoskeletal pain, male and female fertility support including IVF, pregnancy, pediatrics, and general health complaints. Nicola is in awe of the body’s propensity to function in harmony and enjoys helping her patients take steps toward this by looking deeper, beyond the main complaint.

Treatments with Nicola

If you are cautious of needles, Nicola can do treatments in which needles are not inserted into the body, instead using blunt metal tools that are held, tapped and gently scrapped on the body. Treatments often incorporate moxibustion, cupping and Shiatsu (Japanese Acupressure Massage) and can consist solely of any of these techniques if requested.

Treatment flow is based on Shimamura Sensei’s teaching and involves Nicola remaining in the room for much of the session, assessing and working on the front and back of the body.
