Join us at Quiescence on Sunday 23rd of July, 11am - 12.30pm, for our GuaSha & Facial Cupping Workshop focusing on fine lines and skin tone.
This is an in-person, hands-on workshop hosted by our amazing cosmetic acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner Courtney Fisher.
Courtney will teach you how to use a GuaSha stone and facial cup to target lymph and the musculature of the face, plus offer lifestyle and diet tips to help you build an effective home skincare routine.
You’ll receive plenty of personal guidance to make sure you are using your GuaSha stone correctly for optimum results.
Cupping is a muscular healing technique rooted in traditional Chinese Medicine. Akin to facial guasha, facial cupping promotes blood circulation and lymphatic drainage to brighten the complexion, promote scar healing, reduce puffiness and relax facial tension. The difference lies where facial cupping uses suction to stretch, lift and create space between facial muscles and the fascia, guasha uses pressure and ‘cross fiber rubbing’ to release tension. The combination of these two techniques makes them the perfect yin yang pair to add to your skincare routine.
Please note, unlike body cupping, facial cups are much smaller and more gentle to reduce the risk of marking the skin.
Included in the workshop is:
- Medical grade glass facial cup (valued at $29)
