UNDERSTANDING THE FORMULA
This blend is designed to support the Spleen Qi and nourish Liver and Kidney Blood in order to give the whole body a supportive boost.
Shiitake mushrooms are considered to nourish both Qi and Blood in Chinese Medicine diet therapy and bring a lovely earthy flavour to the mix. Chinese Dates (Hong Zao), White Peony (Bai Shao) and Lovage Root (Chuan Xiong) nourish and vitalise the Liver Blood while Goji Berries (Gou Qi Zi) and Polygonum (He Shou Wu) supplement the Kidney Blood, Yin and Jing. Astragalus (Huang Qi) and Codonopsis Root (Dang Shen) are potent Spleen Qi tonics, strongly supporting the body’s digestive ability and act to disperse Qi and Blood through the whole body. Together these herbs create a deeply Yin nourishing tonic for the Liver and Kidney Blood, while strengthening the digestive function of the Spleen Qi. Add some fresh ginger for an extra digestive boost!
Ideal for bone or mushroom broth, and hearty soups and stews.
Includes recipe card.
